Language: German - The commentaries on the four Gospels, called Catena Aurea (Golden Chain), were written by over eighty church fathers and church writers who wrote the foundations of the doctrine of Christianity. The St. Thomas Aquinas (1225-1274) compiled these commentaries in such a way that they appear as a single source. The excerpts from the comments here refer to readings from St. Mass partly from the traditional and partly from the new liturgical calendar. Passages from the writings of Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, Dominican Sister of the Third Order, reference Sacred Scripture and the Commentaries. Last but not least, they show a correspondence with both and illuminate them.
